Engineered to make like easier for busy owners, the new 300 Series is available in standard cab, wide cab, crew cab and tipper model variants. The 300 features all-new US04 emissions compliant engines and a host of impressive new features that help give the truck a car-like feel.
On the Road
New Engines
Engines for the 300 Series have been designed to specifically comply with the tough ADR 80/01 emissions standards, and come in two power ratings. In standard cab models, the new 4.0-litre common rail turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine range comes with 103kW of power at 2700rpm and 364Nm of torque at 1800rpm. Wide cab model engines have 114kW of power at 2700rpm and 404Nm of torque at 1800rpm.
New Fully Automatic Transmission
The fully automatic six-speed electronically controlled transmission is Hino's first in the light duty market. Manual transmissions are still available across the 300 range, with a new six speed manual available in wide cab variants.
New Independent Front Suspension (IFS)
The Hino 614 standard cab model is available with a newly developed double wishbone IFS, and rack-and-pinion steering. The set-up is engineered specifically for metropolitan and city operations and has been developed to provide optimum ride comfort, steering accuracy and vehicle stability.
Easy Start
Easy Start is standard across the 300 Series range on manual transmission models and assists the driver in making clean getaways, particularly on hills.
Usability & Comfort
New Crew Cab Model
The crew cab is Hino's first light-duty four-door truck. Featuring rear air conditioning and no intruding transmission tunnel in the rear compartment, the seven –seater is a spacious and comfortable option for carrying more people.
Air conditioning
A standard feature in Hino trucks. Not just a comfort feature, it's an active safety enhancement that can lessen the chance of driver fatigue.
Electric Windows
Window-height adjustment at the touch of a button for greater convenience.
Cabin Torsion Bar
Provides safe and easy cabin tilting and greater convenience for regular engine inspections and fluid checks.
Adjustable Steering Column
Hino trucks have tilt and telescoping steering column adjustment for added comfort. The range of steering column adjustment, coupled with the range of driver's seat adjustment, allows each driver to set their own driving position.

Safety
SRS Airbags
For Occupational Health and Safety a driver's airbag is standard on all 300 standard cabs, with driver and passenger airbags as standard equipment across the 300 Series wide cab range.
ABS (Anti-Skid Brakes) & EBD
ABS and EBD are standard features across every 300 Series variant to help improve braking performance and increase safety.
Energy-Absorbing, Collapsible Steering Column
An important passive safety feature. Suspension for your steering wheel that can help minimise damage in a collision.
Suspended Pedal Unit
Another Hino passive safety feature, designed to lessen the chance of injury to the driver's legs in a frontal collision.
